Queensland legend Paul Vautin has backed one of Brisbane’s big names to bounce back from a disappointing 2020 season.
The 61-year-old said a change in diet was exactly what five eighth Anthony Milford necessary to be successful.
Gus believes Haas “ turned off the light ”
“I spoke to Anthony late last year on the sideline one night, and came to the conclusion that he didn’t really get along with Anthony Seibold and that Anthony Seibold didn’t really get along with him. ‘hadn’t made the most of it, “Vautin told Wide World of Sports radio with Peter Psaltis.
“I predict this year under Kevin Walters that Milford will have a very, very good year.”
Milford signed with his hometown club in 2015 after two years with the Canberra Raiders, but like most of the Broncos squad endured a scorching 2020 campaign that ended with their first wooden spoon .

Can Brisbane change everything and qualify for the final after its worst year?
“I have my doubts,” Vautin said.
“It’s pretty hard to reverse what happened last year so quickly,” adding that Brisbane’s fate was probably just short of a place for the final.
“They can only get better, but I think in the top of the last eight.”
Vautin also praised the decision to cede the post of club captain to veteran Alex Glenn and sidelined young forward Patrick Carrigan.
“I think it will do Patrick Carrigan a favor. The harbor master’s office at 21, 22, is a bit of a burden, and I think he’s just going to go out now and run and play the way he wants.

“It’s funny – Alex Glenn went from shopping and kicking to captain again this year, so good for him. He’s also a good solid player and from what I understand the rest of the team has a lot of respect for him. “
Brisbane will open its season against the Parramatta Eels at Suncorp Stadium next Friday.
