PAX West is scheduled for September 3-6 in San Francisco, and PAX Unplugged is scheduled to return December 10-12 in Philadelphia. More details on PAX Australia 2021 are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, the revamped schedule leaves no room for a PAX South in 2021. Organizers aim to bring this event back to 2022.
The PAX team says it won’t endanger anyone if COVID-19 “remains a major obstacle to safely assembling at one of our shows.” If so, this will cancel the event in question or bring it live.
Several major publishers, including Sony, Capcom and Square Enix, have pulled out of PAX East this year due to coronavirus concerns. Other PAX events have been canceled and a virtual version took place in September.
