Porsche has launched a few other electric vehicles alongside the Taycan Cross Turismo, but they are of the two-wheeled variety. The luxury automaker has released two Taycan-inspired e-bikes, both featuring full-suspension carbon fiber frames and Magura brakes. They are also fitted with components, including their motors and gearshift systems, made by Japanese bicycle industry giant Shimano. Porsche says they were designed to complement the Cross Turismo, which has a rear bike rack that can accommodate up to three bikes.
The Porsche eBike Sport was designed for the streets. According to TechCrunch, it has an engine mount up to 15 mph and high quality suspension components meant to provide a balanced ride on asphalt or other soft terrain. Meanwhile, the Porsche eBike Cross is designed for rougher roads, with a hydraulically adjustable seat post for quick seat height changes. Both models will be available in three sizes and will be available at Porsche dealers in the spring. As you might expect, neither model will be cheap: prices for the eBike Sport start at $ 10,700, while the eBike Cross will set you back at least $ 8,549.
Porsche launched the motorcycles with the Taycan Cross Turismo, the successor crossover to its Taycan EV sedan. It offers more headroom and larger cargo space than its predecessor and will be available in variants with a starting price of $ 91,000.
