NRL superstar Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is expected to leave the rugby league at the end of the 2021 season and change codes to play rugby.
The Daily Telegraph reported that the 2018 Dally M winner will play Super Rugby for the Blues as the NZ Warriors full-back pursues his dream of playing for the All Blacks in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
The 27-year-old has previously been linked with a code switch and while nothing has been officially signed, the Telegraph reported that Warriors officials are “privately resigned” to his departure after months of “secret negotiations.”
The Warriors captain recently told the club’s website that living away from his family in Australia had cost last year due to COVID-19.
“It’s definitely a lot easier this time around because it’s planned,” Tuivasa-Sheck said.
“This is probably the best part, there is a little more planning.
“My family will be here in February when we make our second move to our next location.”
