It looks like the NXT Women’s Tag Tag Team Titles won’t be the only announcement GM William Regal is due to make on WWE NXT this Wednesday night.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Regal will also be announcing a two-night NXT TakeOver during WrestleMania week.
“It will probably be the two nights of TakeOver, Wednesday and Thursday and the introduction of the Women’s Team Champion. So these are the two things.
Sportskeeda first reported that the next NXT TakeOver was scheduled for April 8, the Thursday before WrestleMania. If it turns out as a two-night event, it will start Wednesday on USA Network and end the following night on Peacock and the WWE Network.
April’s NXT TakeOver would be a two-night event
If Meltzer is precise and NXT changes to Tuesday evening following WrestleMania, this would mark the final black and gold mark show on Wednesday night for the foreseeable future.
The first night of a two-night NXT TakeOver would be the perfect way for the brand to say goodbye to Wednesday nights before making a fresh start on Tuesdays after WrestleMania.
If all of this turns out to be accurate information, the next few weeks of NXT programming should be exciting. Be sure to tune in to WWE NXT this Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST to hear William Regal’s landscape change announcements.
