From today, all State of decomposition 2 players will notice a new item in their game after the last update. A free cosmetic t-shirt designed by an artist Ty ferrell will automatically be added to their character’s closet in honor of Black History Month.
This original t-shirt design is also available now as a limited edition physical t-shirt to purchase from the Xbox Gear Official Store, with the profits from sales donated to NAACP ($ 5.50 per T-shirt). Neither Undead Labs nor Microsoft will profit from the sale of these t-shirts. In addition, Undead Labs makes a one-time donation of $ 5,000 to the NAACP. No reprints are planned as these commemorative t-shirts are only available from Monday February 8 to Monday March 1, 2021.
We commissioned a black artist Ty ferrell to create the original t-shirt design for us, inspired by his passion for social justice, NAACP’s “We are dyingAnd by the themes and motifs of State of Decay. Ty was deeply moved by the sentiment as a bold stand against the continued unnecessary loss of life, so he drew parallels between this provocative proclamation of wanting to live and survive in the zombie apocalypse.
This striking original work features a kneeling figure in peaceful protest. Behind him, raised fists form a shape that echoes the familiar State of Decay eagle logo. Under him is the motif of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition.
