Super Bowl 2021 Live Score: Chiefs vs Buccaneers updates, highlights, Super Bowl 55 results

Must read

The Chiefs and Bucs face off for the second – and final – time of the 2020 season at Super Bowl 55 on Sunday. And the stakes are a bit higher than their Week 12 reunion this season.

Kansas City is looking for its second straight Super Bowl under Andy Reid. A win at Raymond James Stadium would also mark the second such win for quarterback Patrick Mahomes – an incredible achievement for someone who is still on his rookie contract. It would also keep him on hand for Tom Brady for all-time GOAT status.

Speaking of Brady, he’ll be looking for his seventh Super Bowl win in 10 tries, possibly cementing his place as the greatest NFL player of all time forever. That argument would certainly be made worse by the fact that he would do so with the Buccaneers in his debut season at Tampa Bay after securing his first six wins in New England. That he could do it against a challenger of his all-time greatness would be another facet in his favor.

What channel is the Super Bowl airing on?

Super Bowl 2021 will air on CBS, which has actually reversed its turn in the three-network rotation with NBC. NBC wanted to trade to broadcast Super Bowl 2022 to pair their advertising with their coverage of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

This will be the 21st Super Bowl on CBS, the most of all channels. It will also be the last of the current broadcast deal which expires after 2022 and will feature the rotation of three networks from CBS, NBC and Fox, which aired last year’s game.
