The co-creator of Terraria canceled the next Google Stadia version of the game after his Google accounts were locked down Andrew Spinks, or Demilogic on Twitter, Explain that he lost access to all of his Google accounts, including Google Play, Google Drive, YouTube, and Gmail. Spinks has tried to retrieve them for over three weeks, but his attempts were unsuccessful because he claims he was “shelved” by Google.

“I did absolutely nothing to violate your terms of service, so I can’t take that other than deciding to burn this bridge,” Spinks adds. “Consider it burnt. Terraria for Google Stadia is canceled. My business will not support any of your platforms in the future.”

“I will not be involved in a company that values its customers and partners so little,” continues Spinks. “Doing business with you is a responsibility.” Just a few days ago fans spotted that Terraria was rated for Google Stadia on the Pan-European Games Information website. Now it looks like this version of the game won’t see the light of day.

Google Spinks’ difficulties appear to have started in late January when Terraria official YouTube account has been deactivated. Terraria’s official Twitter account posted about it last week in an (sadly unsuccessful) effort to get Google’s attention.

Explaining the magnitude of the problem, Spinks wrote: “My phone lost access to thousands of dollars of apps on @GooglePlay. I had just purchased LOTR 4K and cannot complete it. My data @googledrive are completely gone. I can “t access my @YouTube channel. Worst of all is losing access to my @gmail address for over 15 years. “In 2011, we rated Terraria on PC with a rating of 9/10, saying, “This sneaky little indie sandbox title borrows so many ideas from Notch’s game that it’s basically 2D Minecraft, but it also reinforces the familiar gameplay in exciting ways.” The game has since come to a dozen more platforms, but it looks like Stadia won’t be joining that list.

In other Google Stadia news, Google recently closed all of its internal game studios, affecting approximately 150 employees.
