Hello everyone, my name is Javier Gerona and I am a game developer at Inverge Studios. Over the past few years we’ve been working on this amazing project that’s coming to Xbox Series X today | S and Xbox One thanks to the collaboration with our friends at Klabater.
Effie is an adventure for everyone. From the most intrepid young people, who seek to discover an exciting fantasy story, full of action and challenges, to the most experienced players, who will remember classic platform games.
The story of the game centers on Galand, a man who was cursed from old age because he was too lazy. The game begins when he arrives at the Temple of the Ancient Protectors in the vibrant red region of Oblena. There, a dark power is unleashed, invading all cities and colonies. So Galand will have to uncover the evil that plagues the entire region – and nip it in the bud.
During the adventure, Galand will meet all kinds of evil creatures: imps, ghouls, ghosts, monsters… but he will rely on Runestone, a powerful magic shield as a weapon to defend himself. Shield, defense… that makes sense, doesn’t it? But that’s not all! Our shield will also be used to crush all those evil creatures that have invaded Oblena.
Additionally, as we progress through the story, Runestone will unlock new skills, which will allow us to perform new combos and reach places we couldn’t reach before. And it will also serve as a means of transport… used as a hoverboard!
So… will Galand succeed in freeing all the cities from evil? And will he break his curse? And by the way … who is Effie? I could tell you, but you would probably prefer to find out for yourself.
