Dogura, a professional player signed at Cyclops Gaming Osaka played against Wong in the beta, reports on Twittter that there was “no delay, no delay”. “Is this really a game against the United States?” Added Dogura. “I can’t help but be surprised. Amazing.” Jiyuna, a Tokyo-based streamer and event planner called him “the best [fighting game] netplay that I have played before. “
Jiyuna added that they were unsure if this was better than Good Game Peace Out, a middleware used to create a “near-lagless” online experience in the game, but that the netcode and input buffer do the game “feels better than an old game with strict timing like (Guilty Gear XX Accent Core) + R.”
Played for 5 hours and it was the best FG netplay I have ever played. I’m not sure if it’s technically * better * than GGPO, but I think the good netcode + game input buffer makes it feel better than an older game with strict timing like + R. Try- it for yourselves and judge. #GGST https://t.co/r4PF6ioarl
