From Amazon founder and CEO resigns this year. Jeff Bezos plans to stay involved with the business as executive chairman of Amazon’s board, but says he plans to focus on other businesses and projects, including The Washington Post, the Day 1 Fund and Blue Origin, a space player.

I’ll be honest, you’ve probably never heard of Amazon’s new CEO, but Andy Jassy has been in charge of Amazon Web Services since 2016. And AWS is a big deal for the company. It made $ 13.5 billion in profits in 2020, up 47% from 2019, and accounted for more than half of Amazon’s total profits in 2020.

If this year is anything to go by, Jassy will be busy. Yesterday alone, the company agreed to pay a fine of $ 61.7 million following allegations that Amazon did not tip its Flex delivery drivers. He also revealed his latest Big Budget Super Bowl Ad featuring Michael B. Jordan and teased this winding skyscraper with a forest on the roof for its next office complex in Virginia.

Legendary Mass Effect Edition, an updated version of BioWare’s iconic sci-fi trilogy, is slated for release on May 14. The game is heading to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and it will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S (via backward compatibility) on the same day.

Expect a graphics upgrade to match these more powerful consoles. The Legendary edition is a complete revamp of the series focused on visual and fidelity, adding 4K Ultra HD with HDR support to all three games. The developers of BioWare have upgraded the majority of the characters, smoothing out textures and adding features like Ambient Occlusion and Sub-Surface Diffusion to make environments more realistic. Fair don’t expect changes in character dynamics and romantic possibilities. The Remastered Trilogy is available for pre-order now.

You may remember 2015, The Wall Street Journal reported that Nintendo was preparing a live-action adaptation of the Legend of Zelda series for Netflix, described as “The iron Throne for a family audience. The information came from an anonymous source close to the project, but it never really happened. According to Adam Conover of Adam ruins everything, when a separate Starfox clay project was canceled and he asked his boss what happened, he said someone from Netflix leaked information about Legend of Zelda.

Conover recalled that the boss said Nintendo “unplugged the entire program to adapt these things.”

And YouTube’s short film player gets 3.5 billion views per day.

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, has released its fourth quarter and full year 2020 results and, unsurprisingly, it is booming. The company earned $ 56.9 billion last quarter, an increase of 23% from the $ 46.1 billion recorded last year. The machine struck the ground violently while trying to slow down its descent.

After a week of drama involving the FAA, SpaceX tested its latest prototype spacecraft, SN9, outside its launch facility in Texas on Tuesday afternoon. After the craft took off successfully and climbed 10 km above the surface of the planet, it encountered problems. Instead of staying vertical and slowing its descent, the SN9’s belly collapsed and hit the hard ground – very hard.

After seven years of absence.

The last game in EA’s college football series was NCAA 14, before the lawsuit for using unpaid athlete likeness causes an interruption. Now EA is returning to the college game, although it’s unclear exactly how.

Through a partnership with collegiate brand licensing firm CLC, EA Sports has secured access to the logos, stadiums, uniforms and gaming traditions of over 100 institutions, so that there will be a certain degree of authenticity. . EA has just started working on college football and noted that word of a release schedule is “yet to come as the project progresses in the years to come.”

Boston Dynamics’ newest robot dog can recharge. Spot Enterprise comes with a charging station that allows the robot to recharge its batteries without the help of humans, like some recent robot vacuum cleaners. That means it can work longer in remote or dangerous areas. Along with Spot Enterprise, Boston Dynamics announced a browser-based system called Scout, which allows users to operate Spot remotely. You can control the robot manually or perform pre-programmed actions.
