Limbitless Solutions, the non-profit organization creating 3D printed bionic arms for children and adults, has partnered with Ubisoft to bring a prosthetic sleeve inspired by Kassandra’s armbands in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Nicknamed the “Bracers of the Underworld”, Unlimited solutions started testing interchangeable sleeves in 2019, becoming the first company to do so. Limbitless aims to bring prosthetics to the general public at a lower cost through the use of 3D printing and plans to do so while pairing it with personalized artistic designs that recipients can personalize online.

Matt Dombrowski, professor at the School of Visual Arts and Design and member of Limbitless, said: “Transcending classroom walls with digital sculpting, 3D printing and airbrush painting techniques is essential. to our success. This collaboration offers our Limbitless’ UCF undergraduates the opportunity to use digital and traditional artistic tools to bring the designs in the Assassin’s Creed series to life.

Limbitless has partnered with many other studios in the past to create prosthetics related to pop culture, including the recent Cyberpunk 2077 themed prosthetic arm inspired by Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand. These arms will be donated to children and adults in future clinical trials starting in 2021. In 2017, Limbitless designed an Iron Man-themed prosthetic arm for a seven-year-old boy who was offered by none other than Iron Man himself, actor Robert Downey, Jr. Two years later, Limbitless has partnered with 343 Industries to create two prosthetic arms based on Halo’s Master Chief.
