Upcoming PlayStation 5 games get a new version of Windows

With a new generation on our doorstep and the vacation releases behind us, many players are now looking to the future. PlayStation 5 owners are wondering when planned games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Project Athia and Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) tends to be more gear and technology focused than software, but during Sony overview During today’s event, we got a bit of news on when we can expect some of the PlayStation 5 games on the horizon. Towards the end of the video, a bunch of little texts show the estimated releases for some featured games (see image below). While these aren’t solid release dates, for several of the titles these windows are updates to what was previously known.

For example, Pragmata, Capcom’s surreal sci-fi adventure, was originally revealed as version 2022, but is now listed for release in 2023.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was deferred out of 2020 to be released in early 2021 instead. Now we know that “early” means sometime in March, according to this new info. Another interesting tidbit concerns Square Enix’s Athia project (which is probably still a working title). The game was unveiled this summer during a PlayStation 5 event, but without information about a publish target. Now we can see that Square Enix is ​​aiming for release in January 2022. However, the game is in development at Square Enix’s Luminous Productions studio, which has a history of take his time with his projects.

As for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Western forbidden horizon, these are simply listed as a “2021” wave. This is not an update, but Sony has said previously that fans can expect Ratchet & Clank in the first half of the year, and Horizon in the second half.
