USC big man Chevez Goodwin nudged Colorado guard McKinley Wright in the head in the semi-final of the Teams Pac-12 tournament on Friday night. Officials called Goodwin for a technical foul but allowed him to stay in the game.

The incident took place at 13:50 before the end of the first half. Goodwin swung his elbows while holding the ball after a whistle and made difficult contact with Wright, sending the Buffaloes’ top scorer to the ground.

Wright, who has suffered concussions in the past, was taken to the locker room for evaluation. He returned to the game with 7:08 left in the half.

Goodwin made himself a villain even more to CU fans by collapsing on the other end of the floor after minimal contact a few minutes after the elbow. He received a flop warning after a replay review.

The Buffaloes hung on to beat the 72-70 Trojans and advance to Saturday’s Conference Tournament Final vs. Oregon State, who knocked down the seed Oregon in Friday’s opening semifinal.
