Steam sales can be overwhelming, and all some help browsing them is greatly appreciated. Typically, the games that you see featured on the platform’s homepage don’t need to be featured, and it can be difficult to find the store’s best discounts. Valve is trying to change that with a new feature from Steam Labs called Faceted navigation this allows you to narrow down what you’re looking for while trying to find discounts during the platform’s marquee sales.
The tool lets you browse some of Steam’s discounted games using categories like visuals, themes, moods, and features, and you can combine several to find something specific. For example, ask Steam to feature third-person sci-fi games and that will highlight Dead space 3 and Star Wars Battlefront. Faceted browsing won’t surface in all discount games, but it will highlight some of the more notable ones. To try it out, click on the Steam Labs tab at the top of the interface, then on “Try the Sale Exploration Experiment”.
