Zack Snyder explained why he opted for just one four-hour movie from his Justice League Cut and revealed two of his chapter titles – ‘Don’t Count On It Batman’ and ‘The Age of Heroes’ . IGN Fan Fest Eventually, Snyder was asked why the proposed plan to release the film as “episodes” was scrapped in favor of a single film with chapters. In doing so, he also revealed the first two chapter titles:

“There were two things. It always had to be finished in one theatrical release, because it was a four hour movie. Now remember, the movie is chapter anyway. It’s like, in part one, ‘Don’t Count On It Batman’, then about 40 minutes later – I forget exactly – part two, ‘The Age of Heroes’, and so on.

“It was the way the movie was created just in my mind like how easy it was to digest. There was so much of it and I just felt like these kinds of chapters as I went along. that you were moving forward was really the best way to absorb it. It was always going to be finished in one movie, but then I thought, “Oh, that might be fun to break it.” But it got complicated. and everyone started to worry about whether it was contractually this or that.

“I said, you know what? That’s good. The four hours is a great way to watch the movie, and it’s easy to take a break and go hit the pot or pick up some pop. -corn or whatever, whatever you have to do, because has these chapters. “

Snyder also put it more simply, saying fans “would have been crazy if they had to wait weeks” for an episodic Justice League to be over. When asked if the movie’s runtime is now locked, Snyder replied that it was “100% complete”, and explained that “it’s a little over four hours. I think that it’s four hours and a few minutes with the titles. ” HBO Max has confirmed to IGN that the exact uptime of Justice League by Zack Snyder is 4 hours and 2 minutes.

After initially announcing that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would be released in series in four parts, we have since learned that it will be a single movie. Snyder had previously clarified that he shot the film in a six-chapter structure, which seems to be the way we’ll see it on release.

This film will include approximately two and a half hours of never-before-seen footage, composed of “four or five minutes of additional photography”, original footage from the theatrical release, and items that ended up on the cutting room floor. This will not include either a “single image” covers of Joss Whedon’s Justice League.
