We haven’t seen a new Nook tablet since the last debuted in 2018, but today Barnes & Noble confirmed to Engadget that they are about to reveal a new device. Dropping new hardware would be one way to convince people that devices weren’t discontinued without needing this dedicated FAQ, and this new device will be produced in collaboration with Lenovo.

Further details are still under wraps, but a B&N executive said The edge that the tablet “designed with Lenovo” could be presented next week. The last new Nook device was the GlowLight Plus it released in 2019, But Good electronic reader notes that the device and the Nook Glowlight 3 are sold out as the company focuses on redesigning its retail footprint, from large malls to small boutique-style boutiques.

The first corner turned things upside down by adding a secondary color display to its e-Ink display, and it will be interesting to see what approach Barnes & Noble and Lenovo take. The brand has already tried a collaborative approach with multiple Galaxy Tab devices, but maybe this will be the one that stands out from the Kindle, iPads, and Fire tablets.
