The update also improves the automatic brightness response of Pixels 4a, 4a (5G), and 5 under certain lighting conditions. It also fixes an issue causing speaker noise on the Pixel 4a (5G). Additionally, the update fixes a few bugs affecting Pixel 3 and newer devices: one of these bugs causes some apps to restart intermittently, while another fixes an issue preventing calls on some MVNO networks. Finally, Google has improved the auto-rotate response on all Pixel 3 and later phones.
The update has already started making its way to users, so those eager to get rid of the Pixel 5’s system sound bug may want to download and install it as soon as it arrives.
