Men’s college hockey has reached its last four teams.
Four teams will descend to Pennsylvania with the chance to win the ultimate prize in men’s college hockey. One school – Minnesota Duluth – will seek their third straight championship while the other three are aiming for the No.1 title.
The last two Minnesota Duluth Championships were held in 2018 and 2019; there was no champion in 2020 because of COVID-19. If he wins, it will only be the second team to do so and the first team since Michigan (1951-53).

What was the impact of COVID-19 on the 2021 Men’s Frozen Four?
UMass will be without four players because of COVID protocols: goalkeepers Henry Graham and Filip Lindberg, and forward Jerry Harding and Carson Gicewicz. Lindberg is the team’s best goalkeeper and Gicewicz is the team’s top scorer.
The team’s student equipment manager, Zac Steigmeyer, will serve as Matt Murray’s replacement.
Minnesota Duluth announced Thursday that goaltender Ryan Fanti had not traveled to Pittsburgh and was absent due to COVID protocols. Zach Stejskal and Ben Patt will be the goalkeepers. Stejskal started the epic five-overtime game the Bulldogs won against North Dakota in the regional final. He had to leave in the fourth overtime due to cramps.
