Panthers welcome Nathan Cleary back as Matt Burton steps down center, while Manly directs Jason Saab

The roster for the NRL’s fourth round has arrived, with the return of ace Penrith Nathan Cleary forcing the club to find room for Matt Burton in centers.

Burton, the 21-year-old who joins Canterbury in 2022, normally plays at half-time, but Cleary’s return after a concussion, as well as Burton’s starring role in last week’s victory over Melbourne, have left the coach Ivan Cleary with no choice but to keep a child.

Elsewhere, Manly fired Jason Saab, an off-season rookie, as coach Des Hasler lacks patience with his underperforming team, who are currently 16th and bottom in the standings.

But perhaps the most notable name among the announcements is the debut of Roosters teenage prodigy Sam Walker, who will enter halves amid the club’s injury crisis.

Joseph Suaalii was also named to Trent Robinson’s extended squad.
