Planet Coaster: Console Edition Embraces Classics And Cultures With Two New Packs

Since launching in November 2020 on the Xbox One family of consoles, we’ve been absolutely blown away by your incredible creations, and everyone here at Frontier loves how you’ve totally embraced roller coaster culture. Now here is what will follow.

Coming out today, the Vintage & World’s Fair Set offers two spectacular DLC packs containing an abundance of material for you to build even more breathtaking parks. The team has drawn inspiration from the past and cultures around the world to provide you with endless creative options. With the Vintage & World’s Fair Set serving international vibes and a nostalgic twist, we’re excited to bring you even more Planet Coaster: Console Edition Magic.

With a total of ten new rides – including four coasters and six flat rides – over 250 new maps and over 900 stores, facilities, buildings, and landscapes, this is our biggest DLC yet. So here’s what awaits us.

Let’s start with the Vintage pack, a nostalgic throwback to the golden age of roller coaster parks. For this one, we turned to a sleek turn-of-the-century design, which resulted in a serious style that I know you’ll love. You will be able to enjoy the freshness of the old school with a diverse range of rides, props and landscapes presenting new levels of splendor. Overall, the Vintage pack includes two new coasters, five new rides, and over 230 scenery items to help you build a retro wonderland.

The largest coaster in the pack is Zephyrus, a high-speed wooden monster that takes guests on an exciting jaunt that is as nostalgic as it is nervous. It is reminiscent of the first constructions ever made, before magnetic rails, hydraulic systems and tubular tracks – a real history lesson at 100 mph. Then there’s Aces Sky, where retro biplanes sail freely in a giant wooden pipe. Completely detached, the biplanes give runners a miraculous feeling of weightlessness without ever leaving the ground.

For something casual, check out Test Flight, which sees a fleet of planes soar in style around a central pillar. Each cabin is able to tilt and barrel roll with a smooth, graceful motion, making it the perfect aerial escape.

Next, we are talking about big wheels. Around the World is a wild Ferris wheel that moves dynamically on its axis, adding some serious spice to a beloved fan favorite. Centrum, meanwhile, spins on a rip-off centrifuge, which tilts at set points to really send its riders around the corner. Finally, Loop Da Loop, in which the inverted cabins swing the occupants in the air, and Hurricane, which spins the guests in two-seater cars.

And that’s not all. You can, of course, decorate your parks with all kinds of historical accessories. Think fortune teller cabinets, gumball dispensers, and popcorn machines. And the magic of the past is full of exhilarating barbershop quartets and death-defying trapeze artists, who will charm and delight visitors in equal measure. The Vintage pack is a fitting tribute to those golden oldies.

If you are looking for a more modern mix, check out the World’s Fair Pack. Unmissable celebration of world culture, ten dynamic countries give the World’s Fair Pack its iconic themes at the international level. Here you will find two new coasters, a new tracked route and nearly 400 sets paying homage to the United States, China, France, Morocco, Italy, Germany, Japan, in the UK, Mexico and Spain.

We’ll start with these wonderful coasters. First, there’s Polarity, a rapid transit system that uses magnetic forces to propel trains forward at immense speeds. The innovative open-top vehicle design and flexible track system are the main demonstrations of technical excellence. Then there’s Jixxer & Interceptor, a duo of coasters on a frantic chase. With motorcycle-inspired seats, guests will feel the power as they dramatically lean into every turn and bend.

In addition to the rides, an abundant collection of cool scenery, accessories and items will help you achieve maximum appeal. Set up anything from great Chinese temples flanked by sparkling dragons to beautiful Bavarian chalets. On the food front, you can showcase iconic American dinners, sumptuous Japanese sushi restaurants, and German bratwurst restaurants so your guests can enjoy authentic world cuisine.
