It is not known if Revel’s claim that the site is becoming the continent’s largest universal fast-charging station holds. Some Tesla Supercharger locations have more chargers (although, of course, they are not universal) while a site in Pasadena, California has 20 universal fast chargers and 24 superchargers.
Revel plans to build faster load centers across New York City. It is not always possible for people to have a charger at home, so it is important to have stations like these, especially in densely populated cities, in order to boost the adoption of electric vehicles.
