Immortal rugby league Andrew Johns pushed the Sydney Roosters out of the NRL top four in the 2021 season.
The Tri-Colors haven’t fallen short of the top four since 2016, when they finished 15th and won premier awards in 2018 and 2019.
Johns was on his brother Matthew’s SEN radio show and asked to pick his top four.
“Melbourne, Penrith, Parramatta and Souths. I think the Souths are in a really big year,” said Andrew Johns of the Roosters shock.
“We don’t know who their recognized half-back is.
“We’re talking about Lachie Lam, Sam Walker.
“I understand that (Walker) really impresses players in training with his skills and knowledge of the game, but physically he’s absent.
“He’s still quite small.
“I think he will have a few games this year, he will have a taste.
“I think Lachlan Lam will start there.

Matthew Johns then asked Gold Coast to move up the ranks – if they can catch a huge rookie.
“In my opinion, if Cameron Smith plays for the Titans, they will be in the top four,” said Matthew Johns.
Andrew saw it differently.
“No, no way,” he replied.
“Even with Cameron there, they could make the eight, but there are three or four teams out there fighting for that eighth place.”
