Japan’s next Studio Ghibli theme park, due to open in 2022, is building its own Howl’s moving castle, reports Tokyo Shimbun (via Kotaku).

Unfortunately, the whole “Moving” thing is a little too fantastic for our world, and it will be a little smaller than what we see in the movie.

The not-so-moving Howl Castle will be around four to five stories tall. The depiction of an artist can be seen in the image below.

The castle is part of the Witches Valley area of the park, one of the five areas of the park with a theme from the Ghibli films. Construction has also started on a Princess Mononoke Village, Totoro Dondoko Forest, a Spring of Life area that includes elements from The Cat Returns and Whispers of the Heart, while Witch Valley also contains the service of Kiki’s delivery.

The Ghibli Theme Park is slated to open in 2022, but the Witch Valley and Princess Mononoke areas will open a year later.

Ghibli Park is co-developed by the Japanese Aichi Prefecture government and the Chunichi Shimbun newspaper. The park is located near Nagoya, a site that hosted a world fair in 2005, drawing 22 million visitors to 460 acres. Famous Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki is said to be involved in the design of the parks, which will not have “rides” in the traditional sense and will not cut trees to make way for development.
