Go nowhere – next stop is a Super Rugby AU clash between the Reds and Rebels in Brisbane (kick off at 7.45pm AEDT).

Former NRL star Suliasi Vunivalu is ready for Super Rugby takeoff after being named to the Reds bench to make her debut.

The former Storm driver was suspended for the first round after being charged with common assault.

Police allege Vunivalu punched a security guard in the face while he was intoxicated in Brisbane on January 30.

But Reds coach Brad Thorn opted to use his star rookie ahead of his court appearance in April.

“One thing that doesn’t change between rugby and the league – run hard, hit hard,” compatriot Thorn told Stan Sport when asked about Vunivalu’s impending debut.

“I’m sure he’s got a bit of nerves, but do what you’re doing right and those rugby instincts over time will get better and better.”
