Tom Brady sticks to top five with the ref, proving time is a flat circle

Tom Brady is on the hunt for his seventh NFL championship ring, but maybe his first high-five.

Late in the Buccaneers’ 30-20 round win over the Saints, Brady found paydirt with a QB sneak, extending the Tampa Bay lead to two possessions. Five minutes later, “Tom Terrific” and the Bucs officially punched their ticket to the NFC Championship game to face the Packers.

That’s all well and good, but back to Brady for a second: The Bucs QB just wanted a bit of a party – the man just wanted a high-five. Brady approached the closest group, which happened to be one of the referees near the end zone.

The referee decided to leave Brady suspended (and rightly so, we may add. Impartial observers, and all).

This isn’t the first time the GOAT has needed a high-five, this moment proving that time is, indeed, a flat circle.

Still, Brady’s dull and awkward celebration spawned some absolutely delicious jokes on Sunday night:

Thank goodness for Scotty Miller.
