Xbox Live Gold is Microsoft’s long-standing online subscription service where, for $ 9.99 per month, gamers will have access to online games as well as free monthly games through Games With Gold.
Xbox previously announced a price hike for Xbox Live Gold which would double the price service, but changed course and said prices will recall unchanged. Additionally, free-to-play games, like Fortnite, will no longer require Xbox Live Gold for online play.
Xbox has also added Xbox Live Gold benefits to its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription that also includes access to Xbox Game Pass for a total of $ 15 per month.
With the name change, that means Microsoft’s online services will now be called Xbox Network. The subscription to access the game online will always be called Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also include access to the Xbox network, as well as the game library.
Sounds simple enough, right?
