has removed channels connected to five TV channels operated by the Burmese army (Tatmadaw) following further violence in the country. YouTube removed dozens of other military-related channels following Myanmar’s elections last year. It isn’t the only social media giant taking action to stem Tatmadaw’s attempts . Facebook and Instagram banned the army of these platforms last week, as well as advertisements from companies owned by Tatmadaw. Facebook blocked Mywaddy on February 2, the day after the coup.
